End Date : 31st January 2025
The main needs in the community are medicines, medical services, psychological services, and medical equipment. We need more resources to invest in rehabilitation, mental health, and chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease.
The war has caused enormous damage to the economy as well as to human capital, to all people, including health care workers. It has also affected the amount of resources we have for healthcare and how the system is financed. The main need in the community is for medicines, medical services, psychological services, medical equipment. We need more resources to invest in rehabilitation, mental health, and chronic diseases such as cardiovascular. In addition, the community has an inclusive resource center that serves children with special educational needs. There are 3376 children with musculoskeletal and visual impairments in our community. There is a need to install Braille signs and wall handrails in this center. To achieve better results, there is an urgent need to provide the center with equipment such as balancers and exercise machines. Another acute need of our community is the lack of ambulances, fire trucks and special equipment (for garbage collection, snow removal, etc.). We spend a significant portion of our budget to help and support the life of the city and internally displaced persons. Therefore, such assistance to our community will be invaluable. And of course the needs of IDPs.The needs of IDPs differ depending on their situation. For example, IDPs with children request baby food and clothing.IDPs with disabilities need adapted equipment. We mainly receive requests for: hygiene products, detergents, household goods, medicines, adult diapers. The war in Ukraine has led to a shortage of many goods and services. However, thanks to international assistance and the efforts of local authorities, the situation is under control. The main acute problem in the community is that the war in Ukraine has disrupted logistics chains, which has led to a shortage of many medicines and medical equipment. In addition, many medical professionals have been mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which has led to a decrease in the availability of medical services. We are confident that our international friends will help us to ensure access to quality medical care for all our citizens, regardless of their financial status or place of residence.
